The Gathering 2026 in Yelapa: Dates, Tickets, Boats, and Where to Stay

The Gathering is Yelapa's biggest weekend of the year: three days of electronic music on the beach, art, and workshops in a village you can only reach by boat. The fifth edition runs Friday, November 20 to Sunday, November 22, 2026, with an optional dinner party on Thursday, November 19. Here is what to expect, what tickets cost, and how to plan the boats and your stay, as of October 13, 2026.

What The Gathering is

The Gathering is a small, boutique festival that mixes underground electronic music with nature and community. International DJs play house, minimal, deep tech, and electro on a beach stage, and the days add art installations, workshops, ceremonies, and time to explore Yelapa's beaches and waterfalls. It feels more like a village-wide house party than a stadium show.

The organizers say the full 2026 program, including the lineup and workshop schedule, comes out once it is confirmed. Follow the official festival site for announcements.

Tickets sell on the official ticket page and are paid in Mexican pesos through Mercado Pago. Prices below include the service fee, as listed on October 13, 2026:

Getting there by boat

Yelapa has no road in, so every festival guest arrives by water taxi or private boat from Puerto Vallarta. The festival lists these departures to Yelapa:

  • From Boca de Tomatlán (shortest ride, about 30 minutes): 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00 AM, and 1:00, 2:00, 4:00, 5:00, 6:00, and 6:45 PM.
  • From Los Muertos Pier in the Romantic Zone (at least 55 minutes): 11:00 and 11:45 AM, and 5:00 PM.

Water taxis run independently of the festival, so confirm times with the operator before you go; the go2yelapa water taxi page keeps current schedules. Boats fill up on festival weekend, so arrive at the pier early and plan to cross in daylight. For every boat option in detail, read how to get to Yelapa from Puerto Vallarta. Puerto Vallarta's tourism board also lists the festival in its events calendar, along with other events that weekend.

Where to stay

The best way to do The Gathering is to stay in Yelapa, so the music, the beach, and your bed are all a short walk apart and you never race the last boat. Village rooms book early for festival weekend.

Casa Gratitud sits on the hillside at the point, about 10 minutes along the beach from the pier, with two king bedrooms, three terraces over the bay, and room for up to 8 guests, so a group of friends can share one house. You get a quiet base above the village to rest between sets, and our host family can stock groceries before you arrive and help with bags at the pier. A stay from Thursday to Monday covers the dinner party and all three festival days.

Tips for festival weekend

  • Bring cash pesos. Yelapa has no ATMs, and most places take only cash; get pesos in Puerto Vallarta before you cross.
  • Pack light in a soft bag, and bring a flashlight or charged phone light for walking at night.
  • Check the official site the week before for the final schedule, and keep your ticket PDFs on your phone.

Plan your stay

Casa Gratitud is an ocean-view villa above Yelapa bay with a local host family. Check dates for festival weekend and book direct with no booking fees at yelapacasagratitud.com.
